Who Runs This Site?

  • This Cleveland, Ohio consumer complaint and discussion site is operated by Joel Libava, an angry Cleveland Water Division customer, a resident of University Heights, and a franchise consultant. This site is probably not approved by any Water Division employee. Joel is not at all related to Ralph Nader, any of his rabid followers, or to any Water Division employees. And, Joel doesn't give up.

* be happy together is good enough. I am not asking for things that I could never get.

Just got mine - my last bill in September was $66. The one I just got is for $1,078.00. HOw is that even remotely justifiable? I live alone, for crying out loud. I can tell you this much, I am calling them tomorrow and if it is not rectified, I will be calling the media.

I'd like to know why on earth the Cleveland Water department isn't being investigated for criminal activity. Customers are being extorted for hundreds or thousands of dollars.

After these stories made the news, now the people are finally getting lip service from the Water Dept. I agree with Still Mad that the Water Dept. is probably covertly padding people's bills to pay for the Water main break over this past winter or so.

After talking with the Cleveland Water Department my bill of combined water and sewer over $2000.00 they made some adjustment, but for a house that was vacant from January 2008 to October 2008 and the water turned off from inside is unbelievable. After talking to the Cleveland Water Department I received and adjusted bills for water $338.00 and sewer $707.00, which I still do not understand. The house was vacant how do you receive a bill for a vacant house.

I feel that the Cleveland Water Department is making people pay for the Water main Broke that happen on Lakeside some months ago, tapping some people bills and think they will not notice.
